Windsor Summer Music and Dance Show at Acton Windsor Green Senior Apartment
On August 4, 2024, YACO members and volunteers successfully hosted the Windsor Summer Music and Dance Show for senior residents at Acton Windsor Green. Despite the rain, the event saw a great turnout and was well-received. Attendees enjoyed the fantastic performances, a lively raffle, and complimentary refreshments. The Social Program Leader at Acton Housing Authority commented, "The students presented a wonderful display of artistic talent, bringing joy and alleviating social isolation for our senior residents." The directors of Acton Housing expressed their gratitude to all volunteers for organizing such a remarkable event for their seniors.
Windsor Fall Festival at Acton Windsor Green Senior Apartment
On November 16th 2024, YACO members successfully hosted Windsor Fall Festival for senior residents at Windsor Green, Acton. The holiday event was a big hit, with over 20 residents joining us to enjoy chess, board games, cards, mahjong, calligraphy, arts and crafts, and a fun-filled raffle. The atmosphere was filled with Thanksgiving cheer! Everyone had a fantastic time!
Windsor Holiday Potluck Party with Music Performances
On December 18th 2024, YACO members successfully hosted the Windsor holiday potluck party, featuring delightful music performances.
YACO members contributed by bringing or preparing their own delicious dishes. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the food, performances, and the warm, festive atmosphere, making it a memorable event for everyone.
Boston Asian American Day Festival at Boston Common
On September 7, 2024, YACO members volunteered and performed Chinese dance at the 14th Asian American Day Festival at Boston Common. This annual cultural event attracts tens of thousands of people. The president of the Boston City Council, Ed Flynn, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
